Lemon sticks, cotton candy, buckets of fudge, a sky high view from a Ferris wheel, shops to tempt the buyer and browser alike, handcrafted creations, and food booths bursting with hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, ice cream and even filet. Where can you find all that and more…at the Devon Country Fair.
NEW COOKBOOK – APPETIZERS AT DEVON
Whether its cocktails in the boxes on Grand Prix night or a tailgate at the Carriage Marathon, everyone knows that entertaining is an essential part of Devon. Some of the best appetizer, soup and cocktail recipes of the past and present have been collected for you in a new book, “Appetizers at Devon.” Hot off the presses, the book premiers during Devon Week and will be available at various locations throughout the grounds. Get it while it’s hot!
DEVON GARDEN CAFÉ
Don't miss dining in the Devon Garden Cafe. Luncheon specials include wonderful salads as well as warm entrees. For dinner, come through the line and choose from our delicious fare. Pick up your dinner, perhaps a bottle of wine, and enjoy dining in the Pavilion. There are also boxed gourmet lunches and suppers available by reservation for you to take up to your box. You'll find a daily menu posted in front of the cafeteria.
TEA CART
The Tea Cart is the oldest Devon booth and the start of the Devon Country Fair. Although you won't find the lace tablecloths and sterling silver urns of yesteryear, you will still find its own blend of iced tea served with sugar syrup, mint leaves and lemon. You can begin your morning here with fresh fruit, coffee and danish and then stop by for lunch to sample the delicious tea sandwiches and mouthwatering pastries.
FOOD ALLEY
You won't go hungry at Devon. Saunter down the row of Devon’s volunteer run food court and be tempted! All day long and into the night the sizzle of hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill and the tempting aroma of pizza and fries will let you know good food awaits you. In addition, you can grab a sandwich or a salad and, of course, soft drinks and fun fair food like ice cream, soft pretzels and popcorn.
DEVON FUDGE
A visit to the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Devon Candy Booth for a taste of the famous Devon Fudge. Each year over 2,500 lbs. of this deliciously decadent treat is sold. And don't forget the lemon sticks. Children love this century old Devon tradition. This is the place to find all your candy favorites, the ones you remember from your childhood as well as the ones your children love.
SOUVENIRS
You can’t go to Devon without taking a little piece of it home with you! The Souvenir Booth offers everything Devon from T-Shirts and baseball caps to fashion items, totes, and elegant barware. Come check out the new items this year that include custom neckties, saddle pads and the official Devon flag.
DEVON GROUNDS
Making its second appearance this year, in an all new location, Devon Grounds continues to be the place to go when you crave a cappuccino, latte, or a double-decaf-skinny-mochaccino. Hot day, come by for a delicious fruit smoothie or a frozen version of you favorite coffee drink. Devon Grounds is pleased to be partnering with Tradewinds – Coffee in Motion, a local company with a global conscience. This is also another spot to pick up Appetizers at Devon.
THE ART GALLERY AT DEVON
The Equestrian Life Art Gallery at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair has a new name, The Art Gallery at Devon. Step in and enjoy original work by local and regional artists who bring their unique perspective to the Chester County environs. Pieces are available for purchase in several mediums and many price ranges. The 2008 Devon poster, as well as posters from past years, is also on display.
MORE SHOPS
Nearly 40 shops line the paths of Devon including local favorites as well as many out-of-town merchants. Make sure you save time to browse through these boutiques. You'll find everything from elegant designer clothes and stunning jewelry, to art and sculpture as well as everything and anything for the horse fancier.
DEVON DERBY
Don't forget to buy your chances at the Devon Derby Booth. You may be the winner of this year's grand prize, a 2008 JEEP Grand Cherokee Laredo or 2008 Chrysler SEBRING, donated by KeyStates Chrysler Jeep Dealers.

Prize winners will be announced Saturday evening, May 31st at the Horse Show.
MIDWAY
The Midway at Devon has rides to delight the kid in all of us. Ride the Ferris wheel or the carousel and try your hand at the game booths for fun prizes. And don't forget the gooey goodies like popcorn, cotton candy and funnel cake to munch on. Fried Oreos anyone, yum! The Midway opens daily at 10AM (11AM on Sunday).
INFORMATION BOOTH
You'll find friendly volunteers at the Information Booth ready to assist you with any problems or answer any of your questions. Find out about daily Devon happenings; check the event schedule, or stop by to pick up your copy of Appetizers at Devon. Check here for lost items as well. The booth is located just inside the Main gate.
PROGRAM
Don't forget to get your copy of the Devon Program to keep you up to date on daily Devon events. You'll find volunteers selling the Program under the blue striped umbrella just inside the Main gate.
TELEPHONES AND FIRST AID
Public telephones are located next to the Hospital Shop. Bryn Mawr Hospital personnel will staff the First Aid Booth behind the East 1 Grandstand throughout Devon Week.
