The Devon Horse Show & Country Fair would like to thank our amazing volunteers, without whom we could not exist. Here's to each of you who make this a very special event!
The Country Fair is made up of over 28 committees that work together to help raise money for Bryn Mawr Hospital. There are over 2,000 volunteers that work on the different committees, selling souvenirs, programs, candy, hamburgers hot dogs, ice cream, sodas and much more. Volunteers receive a special badge and are asked to work two shifts during the show. The badge entitles the volunteer to free admittance for the duration of the show. Each year there is a volunteer sign-up party. This event is traditionally held the 3rd Sunday in April. (For 2010, the date was April 18.)
It's not too late to sign up! You can access the Devon Country Fair's new volunteer scheduling system, Shiftboard, through the web link below. Once there, you can follow the easy instructions, create an account, check shift availability in all of the volunteer booths and sign yourself up. You'll get an email confirming your shift, and a reminder two days before you are scheduled...it's that easy.
