Nearly 300 supporters of the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair attended the Black Tie & Boots Ball in 2009. The party was held at Bryn Clovis at Brushwood Farm. Guests wearing everything from traditional cocktail dress to cowboy or equestrian chic, mingled over cocktails, while watching the sunset over rolling green paddocks.
After an "upscale comfort food" buffet in a glittering white tent, Carson Kressley acted as auctioneer and worked the crowd to raise $14,000 on a short list of items ranging from use of a European apartment, to a Ralph Lauren shopping spree, to the opportunity to "scrub in" and observe a live surgery.
Guests then packed the dance floor as the music of Philly rock fixture Kenn Kweder kept the crowd on their feet.
The $40,000 proceeds of the Black Tie & Boots Ball benefit the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Foundation.
