Country Fair Special Events

Wednesday, May 22 - First Night at the Devon Art Gallery
The Art Gallery also hosts First Night at Devon, held the night before the official opening of the Devon Horse Show & Country Fair, when guests enjoy viewing beautiful art among the grounds that are abuzz with horses and riders in the practice ring and vendors open for shopping. Guests enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while being treated to a special preview of the art showcased in the gallery, including the official Devon poster.

First Night at Devon has raised over $50,000 for the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Foundation. We celebrate the 10th anniversary of this special event on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Tickets begin at $75 per person. To request more information, please contact 610.525.2533.

Thursday: Free General Admission for the first 150 children sponsored by Delaware Valley Friends School!
Philly Night at the Garden Cafe.
Live Music in the Picnic Grove, 5-9pm

Tuesday: Includes the afternoon guided back-barn tours from 3-6pm.

Wednesday, May 29 – Ladies Day Tea & Hat Contest

Includes the always popular Ladies Hat Contest: Registration at 10am, judging from 10-10:30am, and winners announced at 10:45am. Free General Admission until 1pm for ladies wearing elegant hats! Ladies Day Tea: Wednesday, May 29 at 10am-1pm at the Devon Club. Free parking and shuttle service sponsored by Cooks Jewelers for tea attendees.

Sunday, June 2 - Children’s Day
Free Admission sponsored by Bach to Rock! Children’s Day Activities, 11-3,

Itty Bitty Hat Parade 11AM, The Pavilion – Children can pre-register and pick up their hats at pucciManuli (booth 16A) any time during the Show, cost is $5/hat. At 11am, children can also register that morning. Buttons, bows, feathers, beads, etc., are all provided for children to decorate their hats. They then parade through the Country Fair to show off their creations.

Live Music, Ongoing in the Picnic Grove – 14 year old singer/songwriter Kirsten Sowers and the Bach to Rock Band.

Bach to Rock Musical Petting Zoo, the Pavilion – try out different instruments, see which you like best!

MetroKids, The Gazebo, ongoing – caricature artist, clowns and more!

Pony Rides, the schooling area behind East 2, 11am -1pm – $5, presented by Girard Partners
