May 13, 2024 at 5pm EST: Arena Eventing

Qualifying Lists

The 2024 Devon Horse Show Hunter and Jumper Qualifying Lists will be available the first week of May. The lists will be posted here on the website and then acceptance emails will be sent.

Closing Date of Entries

Entries for Hunter, Equitation, Local Hunter and all Jumper Sections close Monday, April 1, 2024 at 5pm EST.

Entries for Hunter Breeding, Pony Hunter Breeding & Coaching close on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 5pm EST.

Entries for Saddlebred, Hackney, Harness, Roadster, Driving and Carriage Pleasure Drive, close on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 5pm EST.

QUALIFYING HUNTERS: Hunter sections restricting entries based on winnings will use US Equestrian National Horse of the Year points or money won, as applicable, received at shows starting on or after April 3, 2023 through shows starting on or before April 1, 2024 as means of qualification using the best points earned or money won, per HJ126, at no more than 15 horse shows during this time period. Management will allow horses/ponies who were champions at the Devon Horse Show in 2023 to show in 2024 in their respective sections if eligible and entered by the entry deadline. For Green Hunter Sections (3’6”, 3’9”, Green Conformation): the qualifying period for these sections is December 1, 2023 thru and including April 1, 2024.

Jumpers (other than FEI): 1.40/1.45m Junior and Amateur Jumper sections will use US Equestrian records of money won in their respective sections in classes with fences set at 1.40m or higher to accept horses based on the qualifying period of shows starting on or after April 3, 2023 through shows starting on or before April 1, 2024. 1.10/1.15m Junior and Adult Jumper sections restricting entries based on winnings will use US Equestrian National Horse of the Year points received at all shows starting on or after April 3, 2023 through shows starting on or before April 1, 2024 as means of qualification, using the
best points earned at no more than 15 horse shows during this time period.

Open Jumpers: Open Jumper riders will qualify based on their ranking on the Rolex/US Equestrian Show Jumping Ranking list as of April 1, 2024 and the FEI Longines World Ranking List #277. Athletes who wish to receive an invitation to compete, please complete the Intent to Compete form (https://form.
jotform.com/240234228197152). Once an FEI invitation is issued, you will receive a link to complete competition entries through the Show Management System on line entry platform.

Other Hunters, Leadline, Side Saddle, Family Class: Exhibitors entering these classes and sections must include entry, office, stall, drug
and showing fee, and ambulance fee with entry blanks. See each section for entry deadlines and fee
details.

Pony and Horse Hunt Teams: 

Equitation Exhibitors: For equitation only – those who have properly entered and have been accepted to show in one or more of the equitation classes offered may, if eligible, post-enter additional equitation classes by noon on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024. Exhibitors entering any equitation class must include entry fee, stall fees, showing fees, and $5.75 processing fee with initial
entry.

Saddlebred, Hackney and Harness: All horses showing in the Saddlebred division must represent current breed papers. Post-entries for individual classes will only be accepted for horses already entered. Any class changes (i.e. scratches/adds) must be completed in the Horse Show office by 12:00 noon for the afternoon classes and/or by 5:00pm for evening classes on the day of the competition.

Acceptance Letters

Your acceptance e-mail will be sent to the address linked to your Show Management System™ account or the contact point you provided on your paper entry blank. The acceptance e-mail will contain instructions on how you can accept or decline your invitation and pay any remaining balance through the electronic platform. If you haven’t created an account yet at Show Management System™ you will be given the opportunity to do so and your paper-submitted entries will be imported into that account. Instructions will be included in the acceptance e-mail.

Changes / Scratches for Any Class or Division

Scratches: See the full prize list for rules and procedures regarding scratches from the horse show. All scratches must be handled in writing.
